A fundraiser for the Dubuque Museum of Art

On Saturday, May 16th, more than a dozen costumed characters promoted the upcoming Dubuque Renaissance Faire by visiting popular spots around Dubuque. Queen Catherine, King Edward, Princess Margaret and Lady Audrey, along with a group of scurvy pirates, some fabulous faeries, mysterious merchants and Charles of Charlatan visited the downtown Farmer's Market, the music venue and fine art fair at Dubuquefest and even Kennedy Mall. During their visits, hundreds of informational fliers were given away, they posed for dozens of photographs and made friends everywhere they went.
The countdown is on for the Dubuque Renaissance Faire! Advance tickets are available for purchase from today until Friday, May 29th at all Dubuque Bank & Trust locations and at the Dubuque Museum of Art. Tell all your friends to meet you at the Faire on May 30th and May 31st!
Presenting the 2009 Dubuque Renaissance Faire commemorative medallion.

Front Back
This beautiful pewter pendant can be hung on a chain or attached to a brooch and is decorated on both sides - the front side showing our logo and this year's date and the back side quartered with the fleur d'lis to honor Julian Dubuque, the crusader and bishop crosses to recognize the importance of religion during the renaissance and the tudor rose, signifying royalty. Created by one of our vendors, Sheldon Pewter, this collectable piece sells for only $10. Two dollars from the sale of each medallion goes to the Dubuque Museum of Art. Contact the festival producer to pre-order yours now and show your support for our festival and the Dubuque Museum of Art by purchasing one of these lovely and original pieces of wearable art.
The Dubuque Renaissance Faire is thrilled to announce Dubuque Bank & Trust as the sponsor of our 2009 season. Our partnership with DB&T is allowing us to keep our ticket prices at the same low price as our first season, making it affordable for parents and grandparents to bring the kids and for students to step through our gates and into an amazing day of adventure!
